When a home is foreclosed, occupants are evicted and the utilities are shut off. If it is cold outside and the home has not been immediately winterized, water lines burst and sump pumps do not function.
It is important that the utilities are turned on for the home inspector to complete the home inspection. If this is not possible, we will make arangements to return to the property after the utilities have been restored and inspect those components that could not be inspected.
