Described as "a force in our large family" by niece Mary Lou Wehrli, Calista Wehrli died Monday morning of natural causes at St. Patrick's Nursing Home in Naperville. She was 85. Calista Wehrli was born June 25, 1925, one of 13 children of Frank and Gertrude Wehrli. She graduated from Naperville Community High School in 1943.

DuPage County officials Tuesday afternoon approved a heavily debated plan to borrow $70 million to address an assortment of infrastructure ills.
